The Independents Dance Company

The Independents Dance Company is a dance studio teaching all styles of dance including Latin and Ballroom, Hip Hop, Salsa, Tap, Belly Dancing, Pole Dancing, Burlesque and Ballet. Our independent dance instructors provide a high standard of instruction in group and private lessons in a relaxed and social atmosphere. We run weekly socials (Wednesday evenings) and functions approximately every second month.

The Independents Dance Company was created for independent dance instructors of all styles to have a space where they can teach without being obligated to a studio or its owners. Rather than trading their hours or paying high rates to use the floor, instructors at The Independents Dance Company contribute to rental of the studio and therefore have an equal footing. This approach encourages instructors to develop their teaching skills and businesses further.

The Independents Dance Company premises are available for hire as rehearsal space or for functions. Our 140m2 dance floor is ideal for choreography and group rehearsals. The combination of dance floor, seating space, lounge area and bar makes the premises ideal for functions from dance workshops to birthday parties or office functions.
