The Oyster, Wine and Food Festival is back at Brightwater Commons for another record-breaking year

The ninth annual Oyster, Wine and Food Festival is taking place on 1-2 June from 11:00 - 18:00 at The Brightwater Commons. This is Gauteng's largest Oyster Festival and promises to bring over 40 000 oysters, 30 gourmet food exhibitors and over 38 wine estates to tantalise your palette.

Be a hero on Sunday 19th May and join the K.ids I.n D.ire S.traites Blanket Run. H.O.G. Johannesburg in collaboration with Mix FM, Round Table and Brightwater Commons are inviting all Bikers to participate in this charity event to assist children with blankets for the coming winter.

We thank everyone who came to Brightwater Commons on Saturday to support the second Annual E-Waste Collection Day. We are delighted to announce that the DESCO e-waste container will remain permanently at the centre, so please do continue to bring your electronic goods for safe and responsible disposal.

The second National E-waste Collection Day is set to take place on Saturday, the 6th April 2013. The Brightwater Commons, along with DESCO will be hosting the Randburg leg of this nation-wide drive, inviting community members to bring through their electronic waste for safe disposal.

Are you ready for the Summer of Craft?
The SA on Tap Craft Beer Festival returns to the Brightwater Commons

The Brightwater Commons, a Fountainhead retail asset, will be playing host to the SA on Tap Craft Beer Festival taking place on the 23rd and 24th of March 2013.

Last year August saw the inauguration of the Craft Beer Festival and it's great success has meant that the organisers have decided to bring the Festival back, and add another day to the event, making it an all-weekend bash. There will be over 80 different brews from over 20 different breweries to satisfy the palette of everyone from novice to connoisseur. Festival-goers can also expect to indulge in unique summer blends specifically created in honour of the event.

Hillman Imp Fundraiser at Scrooge Diner

Come and support Terrance Tracy, owner of Scrooge Diner on Monday the 14th of January as he raises money for his epic trip across Africa to England to celebrate the 50th birthday of the legendary little Hillman Imp. On the night there will be an exciting auction, raffle and dinner. Dinner seats are priced at R200 for an a la carte menu. He is also planning on raising awareness for the following charities:

Save the Rhino International
The Johannesburg Society for the Blind
The RNIB (blind people of Coventry in the UK).
