Classic Jazz Masters and Garth Tayloron Sunday 20th September September 2009 Relax on the centre's grassy commons whilst enjoying the delightful sounds of this top notch classical jazz band. The performance, to take place on the centre's promotions stage from 1pm to 2pm and then from 3pm - 4pm, will include a variety of classic jazz and mainstream swing numbers like "Original Dixieland One Step", "The Chant"and "Georgia", amongst others. With Bob Wade on cornet, Roy Burrows on clarinet, John Rautenbach on double bass, Sasha Sonnbichler on banjo and Steven Wade on drums, this band of seasoned musicians is certain to get audiences tapping their feet from the very first bar. Following the Classic Jazz Masters will be a performance by Garth Taylor from 2pm to 3pm. This top South African singer and songwriter recently released his new album, titled "Stripped Down Soul'd Out". Hit songs by Garth include "Why", "Tonite" and "Islands in the Stream" - sung with fellow artist Melanie Lowe.
