Classic FM presents ‘Cool Classics’ Sunday 26th February. 2 - 4pm. On the Commons.

Residents of Gauteng can enjoy the first Cool Classics on the Commons of 2006 on Sunday 26th February. Entertaining visitors to this musical event at The Brightwater Commons will be the Randburg Male Voice Choir, joined by Dudley Trollope. Visitors can relax to their rich performance whilst enjoying Sunday lunch or a picnic on the commons around the promotions stage between 2pm and 4pm.

The Randburg Male Voice Choir, conducted by Francois Möller, has delighted audiences nationwide for the past 27 years. The choir has released five CD's and some of its most memorable performances include a millennium concert with the popular Mimi Coertse and the operas Don Giovanni and Fidelio at the Roodepoort Civic Theatre, amongst others.

Their repertoire includes various choral and classical works such as "This is my Song", "Beautiful Dreamer", "Halleluja" and Beethoven's "The Heaven's are Praising" - all of which can be enjoyed by visitors to Cool Classics on the Commons on Sunday 26th February.

Bring your brolly and your blanket and we’ll supply the banquet!
Whilst blankets and brollies are most welcome for a summer picnic on the commons, no food items, alcohol, picnic coolers or baskets may be brought from home. Only food items purchased from tenants of the centre will be owed on the commons.

Grab a fast food option on the day from any of the following tenants; Al’s Gourmet Chicken, Fratellis, Mcgintys, Pick’n Pay Food Hall, M+A, Scrooge, Steers, Mcchangs Chinese, Wimpy , Hombaze African Cuisine, Piekfyn Home Industry.

Please note the following: own food and drink are prohibited from being bought on site as these can be purchased from the number of tenants on site. Baskets ordered strictly by booking only, which should preferably be concluded the Saturday prior to the picnic. Certain tenants offer special baskets made up on request - simply call the relevant tenant and discuss the options. The cost of the picnic baskets excludes a refundable R100.00 deposit. Collection of pre-ordered baskets should take place between 12:00 and 14:00 on Sunday and returned by 18:00 on Sunday afternoon. It is our intention to host these picnics the last Sunday of every month. The Brightwater Commons have a policy that no food may be eaten on the commons unless purchased from one of our tenants. Alcohol may only be consumed in the licensed areas. The Brightwater Commons cannot be held responsible for inclement weather or cancellation as a result thereof.
