Egon Haag Big band: 31st March 2006

Lovers of jazz can catch one of South Africa's greatest jazz bands in action at The Brightwater Commons on Friday 31st March 2006. The Egon Haag Bigband will grace the centre's promotions stage between 7pm and 9pm, delighting visitors with a variety of popular numbers ranging from songs by Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller to George Gershwin and Jimmy Carmichel amongst others

The band, that's thrilled many jazz lovers from Los Angeles to Cape Town, is led by Egon Haag. His training in classical music and jazz has made it possible for him to present each piece in its original style, yet leaving enough space for the creativity of individual band members. Whilst Egon himself has had 23 years of experience with the saxophone, his band members are all professionals with years of experience playing in different bands.
