LifeLine Wine Auction

Wine lovers are invited to join LifeLine for the annual LifeLine Wine Auction. The event will take place on the promotional stage of The Brightwater Commons starting at 5pm on Saturday 28th May 2005. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid for a variety of wines from established as well as up-'n-coming estates. Proceeds will be in aid of LifeLine.

Visitors who come a little earlier will also be able to sample some of the wines; a Knysna oyster or two, as well as a variety of other foods and beverages such as coffees, delicious deli items and cheeses as this year's auction will form part of Gauteng's first Oyster, Wine & Food Festival (to be hosted at The Brightwater Commons from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th May)

LifeLine Johannesburg is a registered non-profit welfare organization, providing free crisis counselling to members of the Johannesburg, Alexandra and Soweto Communities. The range of services includes telephone, face-to-face and rape counselling and trauma debriefing.

The demand on LifeLine services continues to increase as greater awareness of the benefits of receiving support through counselling and debriefing are recognized as an essential part of one's healing process.

Monies raised from the LifeLine Wine Auction will facilitate the sustainability of LifeLine Johannesburg, as well as its community outreach centres in Soweto and Alexandra.
