Picnics on the Commons are back!
And if that’s not all Classic FM brings a basket-full of excitement and fun to Gauteng!

Classic FM presents ‘Cool Classics’ at the Brightwater Commons.

‘Cool Classical Concerts’ take place every last Sunday of the month and on Sunday the 27th of February, Classic FM will broadcast live while you picnic

Gauteng residents can delight in the excitement, fun, love and passions of the guitar at the first in a series of ‘Cool Classical Concerts’ held at the Brightwater Commons on Sunday the 27th of February. Gauteng based guitar duo CH2 will take you on a journey of pulsating Latin & Spanish rhythms, African beats and Classical favourites between 2 and 4pm. CH2 has stolen the hearts of audiences around the country and takes classical to a cool new class of its own. The talented duo of Corneille Hutten-Burger and Christiaan Hattingh regularly perform in the corporate market and are both classically trained guitarists with a passion for their instrument and a flair for bravura playing!
Adding to the excitement on the day, 102.7 Classic FM will host a live Broadcast from the promotional court at The Brightwater Commons. Between 9am and 12 presenter Mike Ford will create a relaxing atmosphere for the afternoon’s concert presenting a mix of inspiring music.

Picnic baskets can be rented from tenants on the commons or you can indulge in al fresco dining whilst enjoying the concert on the lawns.

Bring your brolly and your blanket and we’ll supply the banquet!
There is such an array of food here – you do not need to bring your own!
You can purchase picnic baskets from a number of our participating tenants below, or simply grab a takeaway on the day - the choice is yours!

These prepared picnic baskets need to be ordered the Friday before and come with a refundable deposit of R100.

Fast Food Option
Grab a fast food option on the day from any of the following tenants; Al’s Gourmet Chicken, Fratellis, Mcgintys, Café Nescafe, Pick’n Pay Food Hall, M+A, Scrooge, Steers, Mcchangs Chinese, Wimpy , Hombaze African Cuisine, Piekfyn Home Industry.

Please note the following: own food and drink are prohibited from being bought on site as these can be purchased from the number of tenants on site. Baskets ordered strictly by booking only, which should preferably be concluded the Saturday prior to the picnic. Certain tenants offer special baskets made up on request - simply call the relevant tenant and discuss the options. The cost of the picnic baskets excludes a refundable R100.00 deposit. Collection of pre-ordered baskets should take place between 12:00 and 14:00 on Sunday and returned by 18:00 on Sunday afternoon. It is our intention to host these picnics the last Sunday of every month. The Brightwater Commons have a policy that no food may be eaten on the commons unless purchased from one of our tenants. Alcohol may only be consumed in the licensed areas. The Brightwater Commons cannot be held responsible for inclement weather or cancellation as a result thereof.
