The Way Out Doors Exhibition

From camel rides, in-door shooting, wall climbing and bungee trampolines to displays of outdoor furniture, motorbikes, quads and camping equipment, such will be the variety of activities and exhibitions at the Way Outdoors Expo. This vibrant event will take place at The Brightwater Commons from Wednesday 27th April to Monday 2nd May. Visitors can enjoy this celebration of outdoor life from 10am to 7pm each day. Other daily activities will include carousel rides, gladiator inflatables and scooter rides.

Whilst helicopter rides on the 27th and 30th April as well as 2nd May (11am to 4pm), are certain to delight both young and old; heart-stopping freestyle motor-cross demos will thrill audiences on Wednesday 27th April and Monday 2nd May (1pm to 2pm and again from 4pm to 5pm). Also taking place on these two days will be breathtaking Aerial FX (skydiving) Displays at 12h30.

Witness amazing feats of strength by top strongmen as they lift logs; carry giant concrete balls and move heavy barrels in the USN Strongman Competition on Saturday 30th April (from 10am to 2pm), or try your hand at archery on Sunday 1st May. The Gauteng Archery Association will be hosting a demonstration from 3pm to 5pm where expert archers will demonstrate their skills in a mini tournament and also give spectators a go with the bow!

The Way Outdoors Expo will culminate in the Way-Out Weber Braai Competition on Sunday 1st May. Catch a part of the action from 8am as competitors take-up their tongs to compete for R23 000 worth of luxury Weber Braai prizes. Giving braai tips and demonstrating some of his mouthwatering recipes in the centre's promotional tent will be chef extraordinaire and author of Kitchen Cowboys, Peter Goffe-Wood. Demos will be held at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.

Adding to the day's vibe in true South African spirit will be popular local artists such as DJ Ossewa en die Trekstang 2, the up-n'-coming young Marlouise, Buddy Vaughn, Charl Smit, Jule & Chris Coetzer, Dominec & Dancers, and Jurie Els & Hestrie Cloete.
