A Taste of Things to Come

Juicy olives, fine wines, tangy cheeses and fragrant teas will be amongst the array of delectable gourmet treats that visitors can sample at A Taste of Things to Come in celebration of the phase 1 launch of The Brightwater Commons. Taking place at the centre, formerly known as Randburg Waterfront, on Tuesday 28th October from 5pm to 8pm the event will also feature various jazz and classical music performances by artists including La Viola, Jazzworx and idols finalist Nicole Billingham, amongst others.

The wide variety of food samples ranging from chewy nougat, pizza and pancakes to beers, coffees and fruit juices are certain to tantalize the taste buds. Tenants of the centre, together with branded suppliers including Floyd’s, The Cape Olive Company, Deetlefs, Bushman’s Creek, Kerrygold and Stellar Organics, will provide the tantalizing delights. Various new food products on the market will also be introduced such as creamy Frappe Latte Premium Ice Coffee, a new range of herbal teas by Urban Teas, and Turkish delights.

Food samples and various other special offerings (from tenants) will be placed outside the stores in the centre and in various other mall areas for shoppers. A Taste of Things to Come is certain to delight the senses with mouthwatering pastries, and gourmet goodies beckoning to visitors as they stroll along the walkways, absorbing the beauty of the sunset over a picturesque landscape. The sweet fragrance of wine carried on a cool breeze, gurgling of the stream; gentle rustling of leaves and soothing jazz melodies will accompany visitors into the evening.

Relax to the tunes of Nicole’s Duo Piano (in the Mr. Price Court), Lynne’s Duo Solo (outside of Ocean Basket), Funkofonix (outside of McGinty’s), La Viola (outside of Mimmo’s), Jazzworx (in the court area outside of Wimpy) and possible entertainment in the Standard Bank area. Performances will take place from 18h00 to 18h45 and again from 19h00 to 20h00.

A Taste of Things to Come will give residents of Gauteng their first taste of The Brightwater Commons.
